Computer Lab
Located on the first floor of Jones South. In order to serve your every technological need, Jones is equipped with its very own computer lab, accessible 24/7. It includes a scanner, a printer, and a number of Macs and PCs loaded with pretty much any software that you’ll need for any of your classes. The printing is also pretty cheap (7 cents a page for black and white).
Located on the first floor of Jones Central. All incoming mail is delivered to the office of our lovely college coordinator, Michelle Bennack, where she then sorts it into each student’s mailbox. Michelle also sells stamps for outgoing mail, which you can leave to be picked up just outside her office. Packages heavier than 10 lbs. have to be sent from the campus post office, though.
Telephone Services
If you own a landline phone, any extension on Rice campus will be: 713-348-XXXX. The Rice phone system allows for 4-digit dialing throughout campus, and you can also receive phone calls from anywhere in the country, thanks to a portion of your tuition. Laundry
Located in the basements of Jones North and South. Unlike at most other universities, laundry services at Rice are free. You’ll still have to buy your own laundry detergent, but at least you won’t have to bring a roll of quarters just to use the washing machines and dryers at Jones. Just take the elevator down and follow the smell of clean-ish laundry and the sound of dryers. And appreciate them. Don't let your laundry build up! It's much easier to do 1-2 loads of laundry once a week instead of 6-8 loads once a month!
